Business Intelligence

Students learn to utilize methods and technologies enabling data collection, consolidation, and archiving for organizations, create dashboards, and manage decision-making projects, supporting strategic organizational management through business intelligence approaches.

The course covers decisional architectures, agile BI project management (Scrum, user stories), dashboard and indicator design, and dimensional modeling: fact tables, dimensions, granularity, star and snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and bridge tables.

Professor (Directeur d’études)

Laurent BRISSON is Professor (Directeur d’études) at IMT Atlantique, where he serves as Deputy of Teaching for the Data Science department and Head of the Data Science Program. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis (France) in 2006. His research focuses on complex networks and community dynamics in temporal graphs, with applications to computational social science and, more recently, to AI agents for education.
