Data Science Toolkit and Applications
Students apply best practices in software development to data science workflows, and design and implement end-to-end data science projects using industry-standard tools.
The curriculum spans data analysis fundamentals and exploration, a complete data science pipeline implementation, and natural language processing applications. Evaluation centers on a machine learning case study submitted as a public GitLab project, which serves as portfolio material for ongoing studies.
Laurent Brisson
Professor (Directeur d’études)
Laurent BRISSON is Professor (Directeur d’études) at IMT Atlantique, where he serves as Deputy of Teaching for the Data Science department and Head of the Data Science Program. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis (France) in 2006. His research focuses on complex networks and community dynamics in temporal graphs, with applications to computational social science and, more recently, to AI agents for education.
